Workshop Title: The Nature of Art!

Add a natural element to your work! Much more than just stamping a leaf on paper, nature printing encompasses many techniques for creating wonderful, textural images. Participants will learn to create beautiful artwork using herbs, flowers, leaves, and other natural objects. I’ll also include a demonstration on the ancient art of Gyotaku fish printing. (No live fish will be used!) Use nature printing to create fine art prints, unique note cards, or images for use in altered books and other projects. With a little practice anyone can create masterpieces from Mother Nature.
Kit Fee - $10 includes printmaking paper, tracing paper, art pad, note cards
Supply List:
Water based printing ink, I use Speedball
Soft brayer, 4 inches
Plexiglas plate - 8x10 inches. (Frame shop or hardware store)
Palette knife
Scissors
Masking tape
Leaves, flowers, grasses, ferns etc. (Fresh enough to be flexible) store in plastic bag.
